That's because we want to eliminate children who can't speak Japanese, don't understand schoolwork, can't talk well with friends, and think, "Japanese school and life aren't fun!''
そんな子どもたちに「みなとGlocal」は「無理せず、楽しく！」「子どもファースト！」だけを大切にして、日本語を一緒に勉強しています。
At Minato Glocal, we work with these children to study Japanese together, emphasizing the values of "Don't force yourself, have fun!'' and "Children first!''
「無理せず、楽しく！」「子どもファースト！」って何？
"Don't force yourself, have fun!" and "Children first!" What it means?
それは「子どもたちがやってみたいなぁ！日本語の勉強は楽しいなぁ！ 日本語の勉強って簡単！」と思える勉強！
だから真剣に考えれば、それは子ども一人一人、状況によって千差万別で、本当に難しい。
It's the kind of study that makes children think, "I want to try it! Studying Japanese is fun! Studying Japanese is easy!"
So if you think about it seriously, it's really difficult because it's different for each child and situation.
例えば「みなとGlocal」は日本語を教える学習サポートなので、できるだけ「やさしい日本語」を使って勉強した方が良いのかなぁと考えます。

低学年の子どもたちにそれをやると「ヘンテコな◯◯語だなぁ！？」「下手くそだけれど面白い！」と笑ってくれます。
When I do this to younger children, they laugh and say, "My teacher can not speak ◯◯ well!?'' and "It's strange, but it's fun!''
高学年、中学生の子どもたちには時には翻訳機を使ってでも、「何故、平仮名からの勉強が大事なのか！」「みなとGlocalでどんなサポートをしたいか！」を真剣に語ります。
For older and middle school students, I sometimes use even a translation tool to seriously talk about "Why studying from hiragana is important" and "What kind of support we want to provide at Minato Glocal".

Probably my talking must be difficult to understand way of speaking, incorrect and strange!?
でも高学年、中学生の子どもたちはとても真剣に聞いてくれます。
何故なら彼ら自身も同じ思いをしているから！
However, the older and middle school students listen to me very intently.
Because they have experienced the same way!
「お話ししたい！」「分かってもらいたい！」という切実な気持ち、態度は彼らと共有できているのだと思います。
They and me can share the earnest feelings and attitude of "I want to talk to you!'' and "I want you to understand!'', I think, at such lesson time.
